Do you want to live forever? That’s the question posed by Live Forever, a campaign to encourage more people to leave charitable legacies.

If you like the idea of living forever, you could always be frozen in liquid nitrogen. Who knows? One day science may be able to bring you back to life.

If, on the other hand, cryogenic freezing is a step too far into the realm of science fiction, leaving a lasting legacy is a great way to help your favourite charity and the work it does live forever.

Making a gift to World Land Trust (WLT) in your will means we can continue purchasing and protecting biodiverse habitats and their species before they are lost forever.

Bequests have made a tremendous difference to WLT's conservation work. For example, in 2005 a legacy from the estate of Suffolk businessman Sid Templer made it possible for WLT to create a reserve in the Chaco-Pantanal, in partnership with Guyra Paraguay, then a relatively new partner of WLT. The reserve is known as the Sid Templer Reserve, and his memory lives on.

Remember a charity

Giving the gift of a lifetime is simple to do. After taking care of your loved ones, think about the charities you’re really passionate about and give their details to your solicitor or will-writer.

Remember a charity

The Live Forever campaign is coordinated by Remember A Charity, which was formed in 2000 with the aim of making legacy giving a social norm.

Remember A Charity now has more than 140 members from among the UK’s favourite charities. These charities are working together to encourage more people to leave a charitable gift in their will once they’ve looked after their family and friends.

Remember A Charity’s website has information about writing a will and leaving a gift to charity.

Win £1,000 for WLT

If you believe that remembering a charity in your will is a better way to live forever, a competition on the Live Forever website offers you the chance to win £1,000 for the charity of your choice.

If on the other hand you’d like to give living forever your best shot, the Live Forever website also offers you a chance to be cryogenically frozen.
