Date and Time:
Friday 24 October 2014, 7.30pm
The Cut, Halesworth

This event has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

Meet a selection of the frankly bizarre species that grace the planet and find out why TV presenter Nick Baker loves these weirdly wonderful creatures.

Perhaps best known as the presenter of BBC 2’s Springwatch Unsprung, Nick is a specialist in invertebrates and an honorary lecturer at Exeter University where he contributes to a range of events, lectures and seminars for students and staff within the College of Life Environmental Sciences.

Nick is a supporter of World Land Trust (WLT). In early 2014 Nick made a field trip to Paraguay with John Burton, WLT Chief Executive. Out in the field he saw for himself the rich biodiversity of the Gran Chaco, and the threat it faces from deforestation.

Join Nick at Halesworth Arts Festival on 24 October 2014 to find out about the weird creatures he has encountered in Paraguay and in other remote corners of the globe.
