Among the rare bird species that Andrew is monitoring are Jackson’s Widowbird, listed by IUCN as Near Threatened, and Sharpe’s Longclaw, which is listed as Endangered.

Andrew has also been working closely with the local community, helping resolve conflicts and promoting understanding of conservation issues within the area.

Andrew says about his work: “The work is very important since it’s conserving and preserving nature, and ensuring that gene pool of flora and fauna is maintained. Also it encourages me to learn more about plants and animals.”
